The Travels of Ibn Battuta

Ibn Battuta was a 14th-century African anthropologist and world traveler from Tangier, Morocco. According to multiple sources, he was the greatest explorer of all time. Initially what was a pilgrimage to Mecca, turned into a 30-year trip covering more than 40 modern-day countries by himself, a distance three times that explored by Marco Polo. Today we can read translations of his adventures that were recorded in "A Gift to Those Who Contemplate the Wonders of Cities and the Marvels of Traveling."
